My JPSAE interview
Wednesday, January 18, 2012 / 2:27 PM

I applied for JPSAE as I had this feeling I was unable to get into my desired course. It's visual communication and the 2011 COP was 14. After my CCA cut off I got 15..so yeah you should know how much I got. Since I still have a chance, so I applied for both JAE and JPSAE.

Through this experience of JPSAE I learned a lot, like I must never be last minute. I had to do a lot of research on the course, because I won't know what questions may be asked against me. (Questions I can't answer) My interview was at 10 am yesterday and I woke up at 7 am to print and compile my stuffs together. It was frantic and crazy..which is why I felt so last minute. By the time I was ready it was 9:20 am..and I was told to be at the design office 15 minutes earlier. So I cabbed down instead. Turns out, I was the third interviewee and my interview ended up to be at like 10:30 am. Well, better than being late?

It was an individual interview and I faced 3 lecturers. I think I described too much about my portfolio things because I was kind of cut off..:s The lecturers kinda taunted me about the cold hard truths about VSC..that it's gonna be very tough every semester. Actually, I knew it was going to happen sooner or later. Having taken D&T, it was like a predecessor, so I kind of expect that VSC is gonna be really tough. One of the lecturers went like, "You won't cry in a corner right?"

There was this painting I did and I added glitter on top and the lecturer said, "I hate glitter. Makes everything messy." I just kept quiet :S I think he disliked lomography too. Oops. You can't satisfy everybody anyway. Gah.

After the interview, I received some well responses from them. Funny thing is that they didn't read through my testimonials nor even ask about my results. They just scanned through all of it. I suppose for design courses your portfolio is more important than others. I think I'll be receiving both JAE and JPSAE posting results on 30 January. Anticipation!

Oh yeah, I saw Amelia too! She went for the JPSAE interview too, but different course. It was a pleasant surprise ^.^

Also not to forget people who have helped me a lot through this process and also prayed and gave me lots of luck. Thank you so much!! XX
